Markus Klinko

“That strange post-9/11 period felt so much like today,” says Markus Klinko, recalling David Bowie’s last large-scale photoshoot in 2001. “Bowie was a symbol of hope and he was the face of the NHS Heroes campaign, so it felt fitting to make his image the lead piece for this sale.” The photographer’s entire archive – including shoots with Billie Eilish, Naomi Campbell, Lady Gaga and Kate Winslet – will be sold to raise funds as part of Taglialatella Galleries’ Art for Relief campaign, with 10 per cent of all sales going to NHS Charities Together. In 2010, Klinko’s charity campaign for Keep A Child Alive raised more than $1m for children with Aids in just a few days. 16-22 April; taglialatellagalleries.com

Mick Rock

“Bryan always looked good on film,” says photographer Mick Rock of his fabled 1975 shoot of Bryan Ferry in his London home. One image from that afternoon – portraying Ferry in his garden in a rumpled khaki suit – was never released. Now Rock is unveiling it, alongside four other unseen photographs, as part of West Contemporary’s fundraiser. The limited-edition portraits – which also include shots of Syd Barrett, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury and Kate Moss – will be available in various sizes. Twenty per cent of sales will go towards the West Contemporary gallery’s #MasksforNHS fundraiser. From £1,600; west-contemporary.com
