On June 27 Elton John and David Furnish will host the Argento Ball to mark the silver anniversary of the Elton John Aids Foundation and launch its latest fundraising campaign to help young people at risk from HIV. Over the past 25 years the Foundation has brought information, support and treatment to millions of people living with HIV and Aids across 26 countries; has prevented around a million babies being born with the HIV virus; and has persuaded governments and philanthropic organisations to contribute more than £300m to the fight against the pandemic. The ball, in association with Bulgari, will take place at Elton John’s home, Woodside, with Graham Norton as master of ceremonies and Ed Sheeran giving a special performance.
