In October last year, more than 5,000 runners pounded the streets of Shoreditch, east London, for the inaugural Adidas City Runs 10K in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital. The brand will join up with the hospital for several more charity 10Ks this year, beginning with a run in Fulham, tipped to be London’s fastest 10K course.

From the event village at Eel Brook Common, competitors (of all standards; over-16s only) will head out on a route taking in the King’s Road, Stamford Bridge football ground and Parsons Green. On their return, they can collapse into the hands of a massage therapist or warm down with a yoga class. Money raised by the runners will be donated to GOSH, while a percentage of each £40 entry fee will help Parkrun continue to organise free, weekly timed 5K runs across the country.
