This year’s International Women’s Day saw the launch of She Inspires Me: Fashion, comprising five limited edition pieces by Alex Eagle, Alice Temperley, Amanda Wakeley, Charlotte Olympia and Mary Katranzou. All profits go to Women for Women International, which supports women in countries afflicted by conflict and war.

The collection, available at the designers’ flagship outlets, includes a Charlotte Olympia clutch (£695) emblazoned with “Hope” in glittery gold lettering, and a baby-blue cashmere jumper (£295) by Amanda Wakeley. Mary Katrantzou’s scarf (£350) depicts female figures from an ancient Minoan matriarchal civilisation, who, she says, “are as inspiring as the women helped by Women for Women International, who now have the skills and confidence to achieve things within their society and in turn empower more women”.
