Howard Hodgkin, Antony Gormley and Grayson Perry are just three of 25 internationally acclaimed artists rallying this month for The Eve Appeal, a charity that funds research into detecting and preventing gynaecological cancers. Each will donate an artwork, valued between £500 and £50,000, to be auctioned by Christie’s, with an oil painting of David Bowie and an iconic 1960s photograph of Cilla Black considered the star lots.
