Since I’m in an “escape” sort of mood I’ve been thrilled to discover some British sources of Helen Kaminski’s hats, which are some of the best desert-island hats I know. She’s an Australian who does the softest, most relaxed and malleable of straw hats – the best of which fold so they can be easily packed.
I prefer the natural colour but she does some gorgeous earthy, Uluru shades as well as a chic black (about £100; Nupa hat pictured, £145). She’s also added bags to the collection (from £200).
