Day: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4

The total boredom of maintaining one’s appearance! I head to George in Queensway, where the wonderful Manal and Jade wax my legs and apply colour to my roots simultaneously – torture! But at least I’m done and out in an hour and a half, and at work by 10am.

The day’s first job is to sit down with Alex Love, who’s the editor of a little film I’ve made with Sam Taylor-Wood to launch the gold collection in September. It’s beginning to take shape nicely, and Liberty [Ross] is looking totally dreamy in it. We’ll need to get the colour grading and music done soon.

A jewellery design meeting is next, at which we work through all the bespoke commissions we have; everyone wants to see designs before flying off for their holidays. Then of course there is always a new collection on the go. A couple of them are at very early stages of development, so we work on them too.

I wander down the lovely winding little lanes behind Bond Street – restaurants, wine bars, little cafés and boutiques and a cute old-fashioned stationer. I arrive at La Petite Maison, which is my current obsession; the food is so “South of France holiday” and just delicious. I have an all too brief lunch with the lovely Thandie before she heads up to Scotland. Lots of laughing and story-swapping.

After lunch and back in the office, Sally, our architect, comes by and we go through plans for a new shop, which will hopefully open in November this year (!).

My final job of the day is to go and view a possible party venue for the collection launch. Hope it’s right, we’re running out of time! Then a cab from there to Whiteleys to see Bridesmaids with a couple of girlfriends, followed by dinner at The Hereford. Two restaurants in one day. Too much!
