Travelling in India can prove a time-consuming, incommodious affair. To open up remote parts of the country to time-pressed travellers, the specialist operator Greaves (www.greavesindia.com) has invested in a private plane, a six-seater Super King Air B200. It emphasises that it is not a jet (so it can land in out-of-the-way airports) and not in itself very luxurious (it hasn’t a WC), but if, say, you’re in Delhi and want to spend an afternoon at the Taj Mahal, you can be in Agra in an hour.
