If you’re stuck for an idea for a Father’s Day present, and you’re the son of a stylish dad – or even of one who’d like to be rather better dressed – you’ll be in for a treat if you make an appointment for you and your pa at the venerable Soho tailor Lutwyche (second picture) before the end of June. There, if both you and Pater buy (although you will, naturally, be doing the purchasing) a suit from the ready-to-wear, made-to-measure or bespoke ranges, Tony Lutwyche himself will give you an exclusive double fitting (subject to availability).
Following the fitting, and courtesy of Lutwyche, you’ll go on to lunch or dine – again in style (three courses with matching fine wines, a Havana rum, cognac or whisky and a Montecristo or Romeo y Julieta cigar) – at Roux at The Landau (first picture), the gourmet restaurant run by Albert and Michel Roux, the father-and-son team, at The Langham hotel.
So that’s one truly delicious experience, and another gift quandary, all sewn up.
Package starts at £4,400.
