I have been a fan of Kinder Aggugini and his stunning tailoring, with beautiful details such as vintage buttons, antique lace trims and offbeat silk linings, since he started his label three years ago – my little military jacket with mismatched buttons is a forever piece (about £1,000). Now he’s a toast of London Fashion Week, but his latest project tells another side to his story.
He was a late bloomer, whose formative years were in the punk era; now, for October, in an unmarked Mayfair basement, he is selling his collection of timely punk photoprints and lithographs by Leee Black Childers and Dennis Morris (£300, framed) plus prized one-off samples from his previous collections. Perfect for reliving the Blitz Kids era, with Aggugini as the eyewitness.
