Luxury lifestyle group Quintessentially prides itself on offering “that little something extra”, and its latest charitable undertaking, to raise money for the literacy charity Room to Read, through a 10-day online auction, is no different. The sale, which started on December 1, has lots ranging from five-star holidays from the group’s travel arm – Quintessentially Travel – to VIP concert tickets and access to some of London’s most exclusive private members’ bars.
It also marks the start of Room to Read and Quintessentially’s partnership with The Big Give’s Christmas Challenge – which last year raised £9.3m, with sponsors such as The Reed Foundation and Arts and Business matching the more than 17,000 donations made through The Big Give’s website. This year, all funds raised for Room to Read from December 5 to 9 from the auction will be matched by The Big Give’s external sponsor fund and Quintessentially, in effect trebling the value of the winning bids.
