A new beauty brand raises funds to fight cancer

As the brains behind the Urban Retreat spa concept, George Hammer was uniquely placed to persuade some of the beauty industry’s cult names to create one-off products for All For Eve, a new beauty and fashion brand that raises funds for gynaecological cancers – ovarian cancer alone has an estimated 6,600 new cases diagnosed annually in the UK.

The collection launches with lipstick from Daniel Sandler (£10), nail polish from Sophy Robson (£10), a bath and body range created by Urban Retreat (from £4.95) and a Swarovski crystal nail file (£12.50); all profits go to The Eve Appeal.

With collaborations from Roja Dove, Elemis and Bliss to come, Hammer has big ambitions: “We hope to raise enough funds to find a marker in the blood that can be used to detect these cancers earlier – though if we can improve the survival rate at all, I’ll be a happy man.”
