Foosball tables with striking style

When it comes to marrying a love of beautiful furnishings with a passion for sport, it isn’t always easy to find a style that’s suitable for the home. The foosball tables devised by Adriano Design for B.Lab Italia are a notable exception, though, with their almost sculptural allure. Made using a sumptuous combination of materials – crystal, gold, aluminium, mahogany and glass – they artfully straddle the line between furniture and plaything.

Handcrafted in Turin, foosball tables from the Teckell collection are nothing if not talking points.  The customisable styles, including the newest addition to the line, the Cristallino (first picture, from €11,800), are handmade from crystal glass with aluminium and nickel finishes and are available to order in a limited-edition Gold LE style (second picture, €16,800), with striking 24ct-gold-plated players and accessories.

Those with a penchant for minimalist, sleek surfaces would find the Contropiede model (€11,000) an obvious choice. Handmade from either the highest quality glass (with black or white accents) or solid walnut, these tables have a quiet architectural beauty. In a more formal living space, the Intervallo (from €3,500) perfectly bridges the gap between coffee and games table. Smaller in scale but no less chic, its diamond-shaped case is made of low-iron crystal glass with adjustable legs and handles in ash (€3,500) or walnut (€4,100).

Each of the tables’ 22 players, meanwhile, is diecast and hand-polished by a team of skilled artisans. The attention to detail may mean there’s a month-long wait, but the fun should last a lifetime.
