Napkins by the roll – just peel them off, use and then wash up to five times – are a brilliant new idea from Spain. They’re made from 100 per cent cotton, come in 17 different colours ranging from navy blue to orange, black and white, and five sizes (from small through to very large).

Each roll comes with 25 napkins which are perforated on two edges so they can simply be peeled as and when required. Over Christmas they were such a hit at Divertimenti that it had to re-order several times. Lots more designs – in particular a gingham version and table runners – are in the pipeline.

Prices start at £10.55 for a roll of 25 napkins.
