Bringing a flavour of the Marrkaech souk to the UK

Seven years ago, Georgina Grimston was so enchanted by the souks and markets of Marrakech, she decided to replicate the combination of quirky merchandise and haphazard little shops in the UK. Today, the Travelling Souk holds fairs all over the country (check the website for dates and places) and has a flourishing online business.

It’s a brilliant source of original presents. I’m rather taken with its cutlery with coloured-glass handles. Butter knives are £14.75, while a cheese knife (pictured) costs £21.75. Also, two per cent of website sales goes to charity.
