A Cornish website with a distinctly Scandinavian vibe

The husband-and-wife team behind Illustrated Living may be based in Cornwall, but their straightforwardly laid-out online store is a celebration of Scandi folk chic. We’re talking graphic floral prints (Ferm Living’s Apple Tree cushion, first picture, £65), illustrated tableware (ISAK’s Blossom and Bill tray, third picture,£25.95) and charming cartoon posters (He is an Optimist, £14.95). Even the featured British and Irish designers – a showcase that includes Donna Wilson, Orla Kiely and Angie Lewin – have a distinctly Scandinavian vibe. (Treat a child in your life to Wilson's fabulously quirky Stick The Snail, second picture, £39.95).

All this is very on-trend and lovely, of course, but the site’s real attraction is the modernist marvel that is Sagaform. Pared-down and beautifully functional, this is kitchenware at its smartest. I defy you to log off without adding one of Sagaform’s Edge oak pepper grinders (£43.95) or a wine carafe with oak stopper (£21.95) to your basket.
