Remember those waxy “magic” writing pads with a film of plastic over them? You’d write on the film with a stylus, then peel it away and see the text vanish. Here, for some reason (the environment?), is an electronic version of that idea. The Boogie Board is a reusable, paperless writing or sketch pad with a pressure-sensitive LCD display that even detects how hard you’re pressing with the stylus (or your finger) and varies the line thickness accordingly. The sealed battery, which will outlive the gadget itself, is good for 50,000 erases.
