I can never be bothered to rent those audio guide things in art galleries, even though I’m desperate to know more about what I’m seeing. This iPhone app, however, does almost all of the guiding for you. It contains really good audio, video and printed commentary on 250 works in London’s National Gallery.
It transforms an afternoon there – the epitome of the power of apps, of which we will be hearing more this year. Just watch: in five years, you’ll be able to hold your iPhone/Google phone/whatever up to a work of art in any gallery and get a commentary on it.
