Whisky and tweed are popular staples in many a gentleman’s Christmas stocking, and it was with this in mind that the people at single-malt whisky brand Bowmore and Savile Row tailor Malcolm Plews decided to piece together a collaborative – and limited-edition – gift package.

The Bowmore Tweed Savile Row Experience will see recipients of the £3,000 package treated to a bespoke tailoring session with Plews, who will craft a jacket made from Bowmore tweed sourced from the island of Islay (where the Bowmore distillery – one of the oldest in Scotland – is also situated). A Bowmore expert will then take the reins, offering a private whisky tasting, featuring some of Bowmore’s finest malts, including the award-winning Bowmore 15 years – a smoky blend tucked away to mature in oak casts in the distillery’s famous No 1 vault, which nestles below sea level on the edge of Loch Indaal.

First-class travel will also be included (Bowmore will arrange travel to London from anywhere in the UK), along with a night’s stay for two at Clerkenwell’s Malmaison hotel, followed by lunch at chic Savile Row eatery Sartoria.
