The 70-room Barceló La Bobadilla (pictured; www.barcelolabobadilla.com; from £150), fashioned after an Andalusian palacio in Spain’s Granada province, now serves RioFrio, the world’s first organically farmed caviar produced in Sierra Nevada. This sort of detail is the province of specialist tour operator A Taste of Spain (www.atasteofspain.com). Spanish caviar may not be reason enough to book a trip with them, but its September departure is: a week-long culinary tour (€3,140 per person) encompassing Madrid, La Rioja and San Sebastian, where you join a private Sociedad Gastronómica – one of the Basque’s traditional cooking clubs.
