If your itinerary takes you to Botswana, consider the totally rebuilt Chitabe Lediba Camp (www.wilderness-safaris.com; from $650 per person), located by the Moremi reserve in the north of the Okavango Delta. This is one of what Wilderness categorises as its “classic” camps, so while it’s not heavy on seven-star bells and whistles, it’s run to the same bar-setting sustainability standards as all other Wilderness properties, which means a stay here has a robust feel-good factor.
