A powerboat with philanthropic clout

Peppering the seas with a dazzling display of crystal, gold and Thierry Mugler-stamped designs, Spire powerboats are an eye-catching option in the nautical arena, but the brand’s latest model has philanthropic clout, too.

Twenty per cent of the €250,000 sale price of the 31ft vessel, designed by pop artist Thierry Trives and named Peace & Toon, will be donated to Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch. The boats can be made to order (and buyers will be given the option of asking for an alternative charity to benefit from the purchase), or they can be snapped up at auction at Monaco’s annual yacht show in September, where three Peace & Toon models will number among the impressive list of lots on offer throughout the week.
